Also it is our way of getting our “fix” without adopting anymore pets. Our pack includes two dogs, Jack and Forest, two cats, Spice and Moey, and one “catdog”, our latest rescue, Miller. Get Away Petsitters provides professional pet sitting services in areas of Hoover, Pelham and Helena.

Snickers Really Satisfies!

This week we are taking care of some of our first pet friends other than our own. This is Snickers! He is a mixed Rotty and a sweetheart. His sister is Megan. She is a big yellow lab and a good bed buddy. Both are growing old just like Tim and me. It is sad to see but they have been a joy to know. I speak almost in the past tense because their owners, Mickie and Tom, are moving to Charlotte. At least we have someone to visit next time we go see Aunt Betty.
Gonna miss you guys!

Something to Howl About!

This is Emma Belle. As you can see she had her nose to the ground looking for a new home. With the help of our friend Brian we helped her find a new home too. This sweet little girl has only known life on a chain. She now only knows love, treats and dog parks! That's something to howl about dear friend. Her new owner created the following site for Miss Belle too.

What a happy ending.

No pet jobs this weekend so we headed to Horsepens 40 for the Dreadfest. The bluegrass band Dread Clampitt will be playing tonight. The boulders here are incredible and the oldest of this type known in the world. BEAUTIFUL! Folks from all over the world come here to see them. Some come to climb them. Oh they aren't that high just difficult to climb. They actually call this bouldering. Check out www.//horsepens40.tripod.com. This photo is the beginning of a trail of boulders that are breathtaking. During the Civil war the soldiers would use the boulders to corral their horses. Beautiful!

But first we are going to Homestead Hollow to buy some fried pies! mmm mmm good! Wish ya'll were here!
